Millennia2015, "An action plan for women's empowerment" with the UNESCO Millennia2015   A press conference has been organized at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on the 8 December 2010 to launch the international conference Millennia2015, “An action plan for women's empowerment” that will take place at the end of 2011.

At that occasion, Ms Gülser Corat, Director of the Division of Gender Equality at the Office of the Director-General of the UNESCO and Representative of the Director-General, Ms Irina Bokova, has declared that "women must not be considered only as the beneficiaries of the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals but also as those who can develop and implement projects as well as act for change", adding that "thanks to initiatives such as Millennia2015 women are able to assume this role".

Marie-Anne Delahaut has detailed Millennia2015 foresight methodology as well as the foresight exercise in which everyone is invited to participate online: the study of the "information transfer" organized by Millennia2015 since 2008, has led to identify the 37 variables. Their analysis is structured around eight specific questions in the "knowledge process". The analysis of the results will lead to building Millennia2015 Action Plan for women's empowerment that will be finalized during the international conference organized at the UNESCO at the end of 2011.
