Dear WeHealth members
Today, as the last day of the year, we are pleased to announce that two WeHealth members are awarded the title of :
“Millennia2015 WeHealth Member of the Year 2011”
in recognition of their continuous contribution and active engagement towards Millennia2015 goals:
Dr. Josephine Nkiru-edna Alumanah, Ph.D, Senior Lecturer/Health Sociologist at the Department of Sociology/Anthropology, University of Nigeria, NSUKKA, ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA.
Mr Achut Rodighar Gautam, Member Secretary of the Nepal International Consumer Union, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Josephine has conducted a study in Nigeria and produced a unique report on “Pregnant Women and eHealth: The Case of Rural Women” and she contributed to the WeHealth Report presented at the Millennia2015 Seminar in Paris, 21 November 2011. She presented WeHealth at the Gran Health Bazar in Lagos, 9 to 11 March, in collaboration with LiveWell Initiative (LWI).
Achut has been constantly in touch with us during the year, sending information through 105 emails describing the critical situation of women in Nepal, and contributed to collect 25 interviews among young students and professors sent by post.
They will receive a Millennia2015 Certificate of the Year 2011.
We also warmly thank the members of the WeHealth Scientific, Methodological and Editorial committees for their assistance and support, and the 103 members from 43 countries that have been regularly sending emails and participating to Skype calls. 18 months after its creation, the WeHealth network has been very active with 1.233 emails received during the year.
