Commission on the Status of Women
14-24 March 2016
Follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and
to the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly
entitled “Women 2000: gender equality, development and
peace for the twenty-first century”
Statement submitted by Institut Jules-Destrée,
a non‑governmental organization in consultative status
with the Economic and Social Council
The Secretary-General has received the following statement, which is being circulated in accordance with paragraphs 36 and 37 of Economic and Social Council resolution 1996/31.
Memorandum of decisions of Millennia2025 Solidarity-Women
Our goal is to create win-win partnerships with all stakeholders and to set up a Civic Solidarity fund to improve the lot of women in need and therefore the lot of their children. This is the result of the Millennia2015 Plan of Action for the empowerment of women and gender equality created with UNESCO patronage.
Desiring to work with the international network of voluntary research workers for the Millennia2025 Plan, in collaboration with all the agencies or networks already working for gender equality and the empowerment of women, we discussed together how to design the Millennia2025 Solidarity-Women at the international action conference which we organized in the auditorium of the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Namur on Saturday, 25 April 2015 (/Solidari_Femmes).
We propose 4 recommendations and 10 resolutions:
