In the framework on the CSW57, Millennia2015 has submitted a statement. It has been examined by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Extract from the statement
The Secretary-General has received the following statement, which is being circulated in accordance with paragraphs 36 and 37 of Economic and Social Council resolution 1996/31 [...].
We deem it necessary, through Millennia2015, to change mindsets, to educate and involve society, especially men and boys, in eradicating gender discrimination, harmful traditional attitudes to women and girls, and all sexual violence in all contexts: family, society, conflict and war; so that girls and women are respected and enjoy equal human rights as well as equal opportunities for access to health, education, employment, independent living and decision-making.
