Geci Karuri-Sebina's interests are broadly in foresight and R&D spanning a range of public policy, development, and innovation issues. She is actively involved in the futures study field which she champions through her role as a founding member and director of the South Africa Node of the Millennium Project.   She holds an MA in Urban Planning, and a Masters in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She is currently undertaking her PhD in development planning and innovation at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa).

Geci Karuri-Sebina porte un intérêt particulier à la prospective et à la R&D dans son ensemble avec des questions liées aux politiques publiques, au développement et à l'innovation. Elle est actuellement fortement impliquée dans les études prospectives en tant que Membre fondatrice et directrice du Nœud Afrique du Sud du Millennium Project.   Elle est titulaire d'une Maîtrise en aménagement urbain et d'un Master en architecture et aménagement urbain de l'UCLA (Université de Californie Los Angeles). Elle entreprend actuellement un Doctorat en planification au développement et innovation à l'université de Witwatersrand (Afrique du Sud).
